Connor Wong Called Up, Expected To Make First Start Sunday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Connor Wong was called up to the major leagues Tuesday, replacing the injured Kevin Plawecki on the roster. Wong was one of the prospects acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Mookie Betts trade. He's struggled to a .433 OPS in 64 at-bats at Triple-A so far this season and is not a viable fantasy option. He should make his first start on Sunday, according to manager Alex Cora.
