Corbin Carroll Retreats To The Bench Wednesday

2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll is not in the starting lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies and left-hander Bailey Falter on Wednesday night. Carroll has proved to be the real deal so far in his first two major league games, but he'll get the day off on Wednesday. The 22-year-old left-handed hitter has three hits (two doubles), five RBI, four runs scored and one strikeout in his first 10 major league at-bats for the D-backs. Carroll probably won't be this good to close out the season, but he's deserving of being rostered in all fantasy formats for the rest of the 2022 campaign. Stone Garrett is starting in left field and is hitting fifth on Wednesday against Falter. Garrett has also been impressive in his first six big-league games, going 9-for-23 (.391) with two homers, four RBI and six runs scored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
