Corbin Carroll Transitioning Well From Shoulder Surgery
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Corbin Carroll stayed hot with a 3-for-4 performance for Double-A Amarillo on Sunday. Carroll drew a walk and hit a solo home run in the contest. For the year, Carroll is now hitting .380 with a 1.200 OPS. He has also hit three home runs with eight RBI and five stolen bases on the season. Missing the bulk of the 2021 campaign with shoulder surgery, Carroll hasn't missed a beat in the early going. One of the more athletic prospects in the game, the outfielder draws plenty of contact at the dish and his speed allows him to be one of the best base stealers in the minors. Drafted at age 19, Carroll didn't enter his professional career as a highly touted power hitter, but as his body has filled, there is a good chance that his power numbers can increase. The Diamondbacks have plenty of holes on their big-league roster, but it is more likely that Carroll makes an impact in 2023 versus 2022. A name to file away in redraft leagues, Carroll remains an intriguing option that managers in dynasty leagues should start to consider.
