Cordarrelle Patterson Campaigning To Be Re-Signed
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons impending free-agent running back Cordarrelle Patterson has been campaigning relentlessly for the Falcons to re-sign him this offseason. Patterson became the team's most consistent offensive weapon and a fan favorite in his first year in Atlanta, and he was a steal on his one-year, $3 million deal. The 30-year-old was often times the Falcons only offense with wide receiver Calvin Ridley missing most of the season due to personal reasons. Patterson finished the 2021 season with a career-high 153 carries for 618 yards (4.0 yards per carry) and six touchdowns, adding 52 catches on 69 targets for 548 yards and five more scores. If his price gets too high in free agency, there's a good chance he'll go elsewhere, and he won't be guaranteed to have a similar role with another organization.
