Corey Davis Out For The Season
3 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis (groin) will have season-ending core muscle surgery, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Davis' first season with the Jets was a disappointment, as he was able to play in just nine games, finishing with 34 receptions for 492 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie Elijah Moore has stepped up over the past few weeks and will continue to have weekly appeal for fantasy managers with Davis now sidelined for the remainder of the season. Jamison Crowder could have some upside for the remainder of the season as well, as the slot specialist saw six targets in Week 13. With Davis out, Denzel Mims could have an expanded role in the offense, but the Jets have been reluctant to give him any sort of role up to this point. Still, the only reliable Jets pass-catcher seems to be Moore moving forward.
