3 years agoThe Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays completed a trade on Tuesday that will send injured outfielder Corey Dickerson (foot) to Toronto. The Marlins also send reliever Adam Cimber to the Blue Jays and will receive infielder Joe Panik and minor league relief pitcher Andrew McInvale in return. Dickerson hasn't played since June 13 and is expected to be out a few more weeks, but he will eventually return to a .263/.324/.380 batting line. The Blue Jays have several outfielders with significantly more upside, so it remains to be seen how Dickerson will make his way into that lineup. For the Marlins, it frees up space for Jesus Sanchez to play left field for the rest of the season. The key piece in the deal for the Blue Jays is Cimber, who can immediately throw in high-leverage innings for a struggling Toronto bullpen.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
