4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Corey Dickerson (foot) is in a walking boot and will not perform any baseball activities for at least three weeks. Once the three weeks are up, he will be reevaluated and the team will move on from there based on his progress. Dickerson went on the injured list on June 15, and while it was initially undisclosed what his exact injury was, the team made it clear that he would likely be out for a while. Dickerson was slashing .263/.324/.380 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 63 games played. Jesus Sanchez has been starting in place of Dickerson and should continue to do so for a while. Dickerson was a trade candidate, but this injury looks like it will knock him out until well past the trade deadline, so he may end up sticking with the Marlins after all.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
