6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Corey Dickerson is out of the lineup for the second time in three days on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs. With left-hander Jon Lester on the mound for the Cubs, Sean Rodriguez is getting the starting nod in left field and batting sixth. Dickerson has traditionally performed worse against southpaws, but he's actually been better in 2018, slashing .385/.415/.538. The Pirates are opting to trust the career sample size over 41 plate appearances, however. Dickerson should return to the lineup on Wednesday against right-hander Kyle Hendricks.--Matt Wilkes
