7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Corey Dickerson extended his hitting streak to nine games with a bunt single in the ninth inning in Saturday's win over the Miami Marlins. The Pirates had runners on the corners when Dickerson popped a safety squeeze bunt up in the air. It wasn't the best execution, but the ball landed safely between pitcher Brad Ziegler and second baseman Starlin Castro to give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead and the victory. Dickerson is batting .444/.487/.778 during the streak and has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the last week-and-a-half.--Matt Wilkes
