Corey Grant Flashes Potential In AFC Title Loss
7 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Corey Grant made the most of his opportunities, catching three passes on three targets for 59 yards in the Jaguars 24-20 loss to the Patriots. With a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, Grant showed excellent playmaking ability, catching some swing passes and check-downs and running hard for big gains. Grant's inconsistencies have kept him from ascending into a bigger role, but he has the potential to be an asset for an NFL offense. He saw some opportunities during the season with rookie Leonard Fournette either injured or suspended, but the Jaguars chose to use veteran Chris Ivory during those times, so Grant still has plenty to prove. He will get a chance to be the primary backup for the Jaguars next season.
