4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber was solid despite a no-decision in Saturday's win over the Nationals. Kluber pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing a pair of runs on six hits while fanning six batters compared to three walks. The veteran hurler wasn't nearly as good as he was in his last outing, though he still managed to keep runs off the board- and earned a 33 percent CSW on the back of 23 called strikes. Kluber has now pitched at least five innings with two runs allowed or less and at least five strikeouts in each of his last three starts- he's starting to look like a viable fantasy starting pitcher after a slow start. Kluber will get an excellent matchup in his next outing against the Orioles on May 14. He pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball against them on April 27.--Tim Capurso
