Corey Kluber's Struggles Continue on Monday
6 years agoCleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber had another bad outing, and this time it came against the middle-of-the-road Pirates. This is the alarm that should concern owners. Five of Kluber's past seven outings have been lackluster. He struggled in his recent appearance against the Yankees, but that was forgivable because it was the Yankees. Despite Pittsburgh's now 10-game win streak, they are an average offense at best, and Kluber should have handled business as usual. He could not even make it past four innings today. The knee issue that he received an injection for may be lingering and it would not surprise me if he landed on the disabled list tomorrow. The Indians are not exactly in trouble if Kluber misses a few starts given their division, so they may err on the side of caution to either get his knee or his head right. Owners shouldn't sell low, however, they should brace themselves to be without Klubot for a bit.
