Corey Knebel To Throw Sim Game Monday
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers reliever Corey Knebel (lat) is expected to throw a 15- to 18-pitch simulated game on Monday, and things are "trending in the right direction," according to manager Dave Roberts. Knebel, who has been out since April, was pitching pretty well before the injury, producing a 4.50 ERA with 37.5 strikeout rate, 12.5 walk rate and no home runs allowed in just six innings. If he can return to form when he comes off the injured list, expect him to pitch in a high-leverage role with the possibility of some save chances if closer Kenley Jansen falters or gets injured.
