7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers closer Corey Knebel (knee) slipped on a wet mound in Cactus League action Saturday and slightly tweaked his left knee, according to manager Craig Counsell. However, Counsell said the injury wasn't serious, and they removed Knebel for "precautionary" reasons. It looks like Knebel dodged a bullet here, but it's something worth keeping an eye on. The hard-throwing right-hander was excellent for fantasy owners last year with 39 saves, a 1.78 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and amazing 14.9 K/9 in 76 innings, and he's close to being a top-end closer. If anything were to happen to him, Jacob Barnes might be the next man up in the ninth inning for Milwaukee.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
