Corey LaJoie Benefits From Weather Interruption At DIS
5 years agoGo FAS Racing driver Corey LaJoie was scored in the sixth position on Lap 127 of 160 at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. After a two-hour and 12-minute weather delay due to rain and lightning, the race was called. LaJoie ended up finishing in the sixth position, easily the best Cup finish of his career. He had an 11th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway earlier this season which previously served as his best. Notice a trend? He tends to run pretty well on the superspeedways, so remember him when the circuit returns to Talladega on Oct. 13.
