3 years agoCorey LaJoie had few expectations heading into the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on Sunday afternoon. He started 33rd and the driver figured he might get to the middle of the pack. LaJoie was outside the top ten after the first two stages but in the final 20-25 laps, the No. 7 Chevy found his way. LaJoie battled his way to the front showing some definite extra speed. What was forgotten was that he did finish with the third-fastest lap in practice on Saturday. LaJoie was turning in some laps near 30 seconds towards the end and the result was a fifth-place finish. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
