Corey Seager Fractures Hand On HBP
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (hand) will be placed on the injured list after X-rays revealed that he fractured his right hand during Saturday's game. Seager was plunked on the right hand by a Ross Detwiler pitch during the fifth inning and immediately appeared to be in pain. He left the game shortly thereafter, with Gavin Lux shifting from second base to shortstop and Sheldon Neuse entering as the team's second baseman. The Dodgers have yet to announce a timetable for Seager's return to action, but he is expected to be looking at a lengthy absence. Both Lux and Chris Taylor are expected to see some time at shortstop going forward with Neuse getting in the mix at second base. Seager is hitting .265 with four homers, 20 runs, 22 RBI, and one steal in 147 at-bats.
