Corey Seager Hoping To Return Shortly After All-Star Break
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager is hopeful of returning to the team when they come out of the All-Star break on July 12. He's been on the shelf since June 13 with a strained calf and is hoping to get in some rehab games soon and play in the minors throughout the break. Seager took grounders earlier this week and was playing catch on the field Sunday, staying on track for a speedy recovery barring any setbacks. The 25-year-old holds a .278 average on the year with eight homers, 40 runs and 38 RBI after missing nearly the entire 2018 campaign. Seager doesn't dominate the position fantasy-wise, but is a steady contributor and should be picked up in leagues wherever he was dropped.
