Corey Seager Resumes Swinging
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Tuesday that shortstop Corey Seager (hand) has resumed swinging and has taken about 40 swings over the last couple of days. Roberts also said on the Tuesday that he thinks Seager should be ready for a rehab assignment after the All-Star break. That's certainly encouraging news for managers to hear. Seager has been sidelined since May 16 with a fractured right hand. Seager is one of the more talented offensive shortstops in all of baseball and the upcoming free agent should be motivated to have a big second half. Seager was hitting .265 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 37 games. His return will shift infielder Gavin Lux back to second base and Lux can even lose playing time with the Dodgers getting back to full health and having some of the best depth in the league.
