Corey Seager To Take Part In Home Run Derby
2 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager will be the eighth player confirmed to take part in this year's Home Run Derby during All-Star week in Los Angeles. Seager will be the No. 3 seed based on last year's home run totals, and he will face off against Seattle Mariners rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez in the first round. Seager has 59 career long balls at Dodgers Stadium and took part in the Derby back in 2016 as a rookie. The 28-year-old is hitting .245/.321/.467 with 21 home runs, 48 RBI, 46 runs scored and three stolen bases in 84 games in his first year in Texas. With the first half about to come to an end, he's just five home runs shy of his career-high in homers.
