Cory Schneider Pulled In Defensive Meltdown
6 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider was pulled after making 18 saves on 22 shots for a .818 save percentage in the 7-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators. After starting off the game with a 2-0 lead, Schneider allowed four unanswered and was eventually pulled from the game in the 2nd period in favor of Keith Kinkaid. Schneider and Kinkaid will most likely be splitting starts this year and this doesn't help Schneider's case at all for starts right now. He's still a solid fantasy goalie, however, the number of starts he's going to get this year will all depend on his play. Owners must always keep track of the stats Kinkaid puts up as well. His record now drops to 0-2-0 with a 4.71 GAA and a .862 SV% on the season.
