Cowboys Confident In Michael Gallup's Recovery
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are confident in wide receiver Michael Gallup's (knee) medicals after he suffered a torn ACL last year, and it's why they are working to close out a long-term contract extension that would pay him over $10 million per season. Amari Cooper is expected to be released if Dallas can't find a trade partner, as they are currently projected to be $13.4 million over the 2022 salary cap, which is fifth-most in the NFL. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo has been told that Gallup's new deal could be for five years. The Cowboys also want to bring back Cedrick Wilson, who is scheduled to be a free agent when the new league year begins. Gallup, if fully healthy, is in line for a boost in fantasy value next season, depending on who else the team brings in at the position through free agency or the draft.
