Cowboys Fear James Washington Suffered A Jones Fracture
2 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are concerned that wide receiver James Washington (foot) suffered a Jones fracture in his foot during training camp practice on Monday, according to a source. Washington had to be carted off the field and is undergoing additional testing. The 26-year-old came down hard on his foot, was slow to get up and then wasn't putting any weight on the foot as he attempted to hop off the field. It's bad news for Dallas' wideout depth with Michael Gallup (knee) unlikely to be ready for Week 1. CeeDee Lamb will be the unquestioned No. 1 receiver with Amari Cooper now in Cleveland, while rookie Jalen Tolbert now has a crystal-clear path to No. 2 duties, at least to open up the 2022 season. In standard-sized leagues, fantasy managers can probably avoid Washington in upcoming drafts.
