Craig Anderson Leaves Game With Injury, Still Gets Win
6 years agoOttawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson made 30 saves on 33 shots for a .909 save percentage in the 7-3 win over the New Jersey Devils. Anderson was going to get a win regardless with the team scoring seven, however, he did give the team a chance to win only allowing three. Anderson's value comes solely off the volume, as he's likely going to start 60+ games after Mike Condon was waived along with facing 30+ shots a night. He now improves to a 6-4-3 record with a 3.56 GAA and a .909 SV%. In terms of the injury, he left for "precautionary reasons" as he left late in the third period. He's the bottom of the barrel when it comes to bonafide starting goaltenders, however, he can actually provide lots of value in leagues that count saves. If he's available and you're in need of a goalie, don't be afraid to take a chance. He most likely will start again on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights.
