6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Craig Gentry (rib) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left rib fracture, per the Associated Press via Washington Post. The Orioles recalled pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis and utility man Steve Wilkerson from Triple-A Norfolk in corresponding moves after both Gentry and Darren O'Day (hamstring) were placed on the DL. Yacabonis is expected to start on Thursday against the Mariners in place of injured Dylan Bundy (ankle). Yacabonis has a 3.14 ERA but an unimpressive 6.79 K/9 rate and a 3.31 BB/9 rate in 13 starts at Triple-A this season.
