3 years agoBoston Bruins right wing Craig Smith will sit out Thursday's game against New Jersey with an illness. Marc McLaughlin will make his NHL debut in his place on the third line. Boston signed McLaughlin to a two-year entry-level contract earlier in the month. He posted 32 points in 33 games with Boston College this season and also featured for Team USA at the Olympics. Smith, who has enjoyed a solid campaign with 31 points in 59 games, will get his first opportunity to return on Saturday against Columbus. --Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
