4 years agoSan Diego Padres right-handed pitcher Craig Stammen will open Game 3 of Friday’s wild-card series versus St. Louis. Stammen hasn’t made a start since Aug. 4, 2010, a healthy indicator that he won’t be long for Friday’s contest, with the Padres slated to have an “all hands on deck” approach. The longest that Stammen has gone in 2020 was 29 pitches and two innings, giving him essentially no DFS intrigue. The Padres’ rotation has been beset by injuries down the stretch, with the club hoping to have more clarity should it advance to the NLDS.--Jesse Borek
