4 years agoHouston Astros starter Cristian Javier is expected to be ready to make his first start of the season. Javier missed a portion of Spring Training due to health and safety protocols and has made only a couple of appearances during exhibition play. But the expectation is for Javier to make his scheduled turn in the rotation when the bell rings to begin the season. Javier was a pleasant surprise last season, posting a 5-2 record with a sparkling 0.99 WHIP, a 3.48 ERA while holding opponents to a .188 batting average.
