4 years agoHouston Astros starter Cristian Javier will take the mound Tuesday against the Mariners. The 24-year-old is coming off two strong starts and has not allowed a run over his last 10 innings pitched. During that span, Javier has allowed only six hits while posting 16 strikeouts. Javier was impressive last season, posting a 0.99 WHIP and a 3.48 ERA during last year's shortened season. Now the right-handed starter, thus far, has picked up where he left off and carries a 0.88 WHIP heading into this start.
