Cubs Acquire Pete Crow-Armstrong
3 years agoThe Chicago Cubs will receive outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong for shortstop Javier Baez and starting pitcher Trevor Williams. Crow-Armstrong, 19, was drafted by the Mets with the 19th overall pick in 2020. Crow-Armstrong has had a slow start to his professional career and has only played six games for in Single-A. The outfielder is currently sidelined for the season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum and injured cartilage. Crow-Armstrong's offense is a work in progress, but he already has possessed strong qualities on defense. It is likely to be a while until he will be on his way to Wrigley Field, but this appears to be a strong get for the Cubs.
