Cubs Move Ian Happ Out Of Leadoff Spot On Monday
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ has been moved down to fifth in the batting order for Monday's contest versus the Atlanta Braves. It will be the first time this season that he isn't leading off for the Cubs. Happ was a popular sleeper pick this offseason, but has been off to a rocky start to the season. Happ has struggled to the tune of a .154 batting average with just one home run and one RBI. The Cubs offense overall has picked it up a bit over the past week, but Happ has continued to struggle with just two hits over his last 17 at-bats. Managers in deeper leagues should remain patient with Happ, but keep him on the bench until he starts to show signs of life. Second baseman Nico Hoerner will be at the top of the order on Monday.
