2 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Curt Casali played through a "bum" hamstring on Saturday night according to manager Gabe Kapler. With the club going with a bullpen game against the rival Dodgers, Kapler wanted the veteran to stay behind the plate in what he labeled the performance as a "heroic effort." Although Casali went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts, the Giants did win the game 3-2, so it appears it was the right move for now. Look for the club to provide an update on the 33-year-old before tomorrow afternoon's affair where it wouldn't be a shocker at all to see Casali get the day off with Carlos Rodon taking the hill.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
