Curtis Granderson Agrees With Blue Jays
7 years agoFree-agent outfielder Curtis Granderson agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, according to sources. Grandy did manage to hit 26 home runs in 147 games between the Mets and Dodgers in 2017, but he posted a putrid .212/.323/.452 slash line and is no longer a regular lineup fixture. Expect him to be a platoon corner outfielder for the Blue Jays against right-handed pitchers. Hitter-friendly Rogers Centre will be a boost for Granderson's power, but he'll be a drain on any fantasy team's overall average. Target him as a power depth bat in deep mixed and AL-only leagues in the later rounds.
