7 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Curtis Granderson and second baseman Devon Travis are both out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez and the Boston Red Sox. Travis returned to the lineup on Sunday after missing a few games with a sore foot, but has continued to struggle with a 1-for-7 line since returning. Lourdes Gurriel gets the start at second in place of Travis. Gurriel hasn’t been lighting the world on fire since getting called up, but he has been better than Travis with a .273/.273/.546 slash line. Granderson, meanwhile, is getting a routine day of rest after hitting a walk-off shot to down the BoSox on Tuesday. Steve Pearce gets the nod in his place, who is crushing lefties to the tune of a .994 OPS with two home runs, and he makes for an excellent cheap streaming option on Wednesday.--John Smith
