6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Curtis McElhinney picked up the victory in Tuesday's 4-3 road victory against the New York Islanders. He has rattled off three consecutive victories to improve to 10-5-1 with a 2.25 goals-against average and .922 save percentage. He has been a godsend for the Canes and fantasy owners this season, as he entered the season well under .500 for his career. A big part of his winning streak has been goal support, as the Carolina offense is averaging 3.7 goals per game of support after posting a total of two goals in his previous four outings.--Daniel Dobish
