Curtis Samuel Can Play Everywhere In Offense
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel's versatility has been on full display during voluntary organized team activities this year. "Curtis can play everywhere," offensive coordinator Scott Turner said. "We did some of that stuff last year in the limited time he was on the field. I'm just happy for Curtis that he's healthy and he's back to his normal self running around." Samuel was limited to five games in his first year in D.C. due to injuries in 2021, catching just six passes for 27 yards. The 25-year-old is eager to put his frustrating season behind him, and he had 1,200 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in three seasons under head coach Ron Rivera in Carolina. Samuel could reach that potential again now that he's healthy and able to contribute in many different ways on the field.
