3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) is headed to injured reserve, according to head coach Ron Rivera. The 25-year-old has been dealing with this injury since minicamp in June, and he experienced some setbacks during the past couple of days at practice. He initially looked on track to play ahead of Week 1, but will now be held out for a minimum of three games. Samuel's absence will potentially benefit Dyami Brown the most, as he can now serve as the primary deep threat in the Washington offense. Brown could be worth a roster spot in deeper leagues, as he now has a huge opportunity to earn significant playing time. For the time being, Samuel should be stashed on benches because he will likely have a significant role in the offense upon his return to the lineup.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
