Curtis Samuel Placed On PUP List
3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) opens training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. After sitting out of minicamp practices in June, Samuel's groin injury was described as a "tweak," so it is not considered to be serious. After being medically cleared, Samuel is eligible to come off the PUP list at any time. Samuel will lose some practice time with his new team, but he should be able to return soon enough to build a rapport with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Head coach Ron Rivera is familiar with the speedy receiver, so Samuel should have no trouble fitting into the Washington offense upon his eventual return to practice. Samuel can be considered a WR3 with WR2 upside, and he is well worth his average draft position of 114.
