Curtis Samuel To Be Eased Back Into Practices
3 years agoIt has been a rough start to wide receiver Curtis Samuel's (groin) time with the Washington Football Team, as he has been held out of training camp with a groin injury and COVID-19. He was removed from the COVID-19 list on Monday, but he remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list. According to team reporter John Keim, Samuel remaining on the PUP list is because of his conditioning rather than his groin injury at this time. His injury has never been considered serious, and his continued absence is for precautionary reasons. After not practicing since June, Samuel will need to be eased back in and get caught up with anything he has missed so far. After playing for head coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Scott Turner in Carolina, Samuel should have no trouble fitting in. When on the field, Samuel is a WR3 in fantasy with the potential for some big games week-to-week. However, his continued absence should be a cause for concern for fantasy managers, as he could get off to a slow start early in the season as a result.
