3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel will potentially be stepping into the largest role he has ever had in the NFL. The former Carolina Panther reunited with head coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Scott Turner this offseason, so the familiarity could make fitting into his new team much easier. "Samuel is a special guy," Turner said. "He has the athletic ability to move around, and also has the mental capacity to do it." Samuel has shown he can be effective out wide, in the slot, and in the backfield from his time in Carolina. The 25-year-old finished with 77 receptions for 851 yards and three touchdowns last year, while adding 200 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. If he were to be used in a similar role this year, the speedy receiver could be in for a career-best season. Samuel played behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson in Carolina last year, but figures to be the No. 2 wide receiver behind only Terry McLaurin in Washington. He is a solid WR3 option this season who fantasy managers could potentially get at a discount because of his missed training camp time.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
