Dakota Hudson Earns Quality Start Tuesday
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Dakota Hudson allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Pirates Tuesday night. He allowed six hits and three walks while striking out five to earn a quality start. Hudson got off to a rough start, Starling Marte hit a three-run homer in the first inning, but was able to settle in from there and didn't allow another run while pitching into the seventh. Husdon is not a spectacular fantasy option due to a very low 16.5 percent strikeout rate but has been great at run prevention. Hudson hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since April 15, a streak of 17 starts. He'll put that streak on the line vs a tough Astros lineup in his next start on Sunday.
