7 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie tight end Dallas Goedert is expected to have an immediate role in Week 1. Zach Ertz remains atop the tight end depth chart of course, but with Trey Burton gone, Goedert will slide into the No. 2 tight end role. Goedert wasn't much of a blocking tight end in college, so he might lose some snaps in obvious running downs, but he should be a target for quarterback Carson Wentz on most passing plays, especially in the red zone. Rookie tight ends generally disappoint in fantasy, but Goedert has as good a chance as any to turn that trend around in 2018.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
