7 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Dalton Pompey was set to receive a CT scan on his sore right wrist on Monday, and apparently the results are in. Pompey has been told to rest his wrist for a couple of days, and if it does not respond, he’ll receive a cortisone shot. Presumably, that means the CT scan didn’t discover anything serious. This is good news for Pompey, but he’ll need to get on the field soon in order to have a chance at making an early season impact after missing all but 13 minor league games in 2017. Of course, Toronto’s acquisition of outfielders Curtis Granderson and Randal Grichuk doesn’t help Pompey’s chances here either. Pompey isn’t worth a draft pick in any format.--John Smith
