Dalvin Cook Appears To Have Avoided Major Injury
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (groin) departed Sunday’s contest against Seattle early due to a groin injury, but after getting an MRI on Monday, “he’s good,” a source told Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. Prior to his departure, Cook rushed for a touchdown in his fifth consecutive game, giving him a score in every game thus far in 2020. Alexander Mattison would be in line for an increased role should Cook miss time, but it sounds as if Minnesota will have its bell cow back in short order. The Vikings host Atlanta next week, which while it would be a favorable matchup for Cook, may lead to an absence due to the team having its bye the following week, giving him ample time to rest. Season-long managers can breathe a sigh of relief, although it’s worth checking back on his status throughout the week.
