Dalvin Cook To “Maintain Regular Workload”
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder) will play with a shoulder harness in his Week 14 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. Also, according to Adam Schefter, "expectations are that Cook maintains his regular workload." Furthermore, Cook played with a similar harness after his last shoulder injury and proceeded to manage 31 touches for 130 yards and two touchdowns. With that said, that was a playoff game. The Vikings are still technically in the hunt for a playoff spot, making tonight's game a must-win, so perhaps he will manage a similar workload. This is all speculation, and it's still important to note that Cook still shouldn't be started with massive expectations. Instead, think of him as a high-upside RB1; backup Alexander Mattison can still be started as well, just note that both players have massive downsides depending on how the Vikings divide the workload.
