3 years agoNew England Patriots running back Damien Harris is expected to compete for the lead back job in training camp. He has a legitimate shot at taking the job, according to head coach Bill Belichick. "Now he has an opportunity to really compete for the lead spot..I've been impressed with the commitment that he's shown," said Belichick. Harris did a fine job as the lead back last season. He'll have Sony Michel, James White, and rookie Rhamondre Stevenson chasing after him. However, Harris should win the starting spot, assuming he stays healthy in camp.
