2 years agoNew England Patriots running back Damien Harris is in line to share early-down work in the team's backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson. According to head coach Bill Belichick, "looking at all three downs" and the team "has to plan accordingly for that." It's a notable change from the team's second preseason game, and it's a contrast to the "third-down backs" the Patriots have traditionally employed. Harris rushed for 929 yards on 202 attempts and 15 touchdowns across 15 games in 2021. Miami is in the middle of the pack against the run and finished 17th in rush DVOA last season. The 25-year-old rushed for 137 yards on 34 attempts and a touchdown in two games against Miami last year.
