3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons have signed free-agent running back Damien Williams. The veteran back will get a one-year deal and a chance at legitimate playing time in Atlanta. Cordarrelle Patterson is still a free agent, so currently Williams moves into the No. 1 back spot in the weak Falcons' backfield. The 29-year-old should easily jump Mike Davis and Qadree Ollison on the depth chart. Although, it's uncertain if the Falcons are done adding at running back and could still possibly bring back Patterson. Regardless, Williams should be in the mix for carries, but doesn't have a ton of upside. He has mainly been a backup throughout his career and his value is unlikely to change much going forward.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
