Damien Williams Ruled Out For Week 2
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Damien Williams (rib) has been ruled out for the Week 2 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Williams missed practice all week after picking up the injury in the Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He was expected to have a big role as Cordarrelle Patterson's backup, but he finished with only two carries for two yards on 10 offensive snaps. With Williams now officially out this weekend, it should mean that rookie Tyler Allgeier, who was a healthy scratch in Week 1, will make his NFL debut and serve as the primary backup to Patterson. Avery Williams could also be involved, though, so Allgeier will be a stretch for standalone fantasy appeal in starting lineups.
