6 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Monday's practice. It's being speculated that the injury Williams sustained could possibly be connected to a surgery he had in the offseason, but the nature of the injury has not yet been reported. Williams showed very well in the Chiefs first preseason matchup against the Texans, averaging four yards per carry on five carries and pulling in both of his receiving targets. Williams is a threat to Spencer Ware as the primary handcuff for bell-cow running back Kareem Hunt if the injury he suffered is minor. This is a situation worth monitoring, as Ware is coming off an injury of his own in 2017 and just resumed contact activities on Monday.--Justin Friel
